More Search Term Poetry

Here’s another round of search term poetry for your amusement. Credit for coming up with the idea goes to elkement who has also written the definitive history of the avante guard art of crowd sourced poetry. It’s catching on. Somebody found my blog with the search term ‘subversive poetry blogs.’ For those new to the art form, you arrange search terms that people use to find your blog into semi-poetic, or just humorous, combinations. Here’s what I came up with from last month’s web queries.

****

academic to corporate resume

successful monetization strategies

ask a philosopher a question

it’s selling out

****

should unemployed be able to use guns

which philosopher would support gun ownership

unsophisticated saskatchewan people

****

the time machine 1960 analysis of the time travel

philosophy in multiverse time travel

in what dr who episode do they say trust me, i’m a doctor

****

how to present yourself to women when you’re unemployed

present yourself as an asset

****

the definition of philosophy is notoriously difficult

is a philosophy degree worth it

****

netherlands phd defence ceremony dress code

bicycle helmet netherlands

****

satirical songs

philosophical rap music

aristotle warns against music

****

corporate responsibility cannot be influenced by a companies competing interests

philosophy can help in management

Hilarious, in particular the paragraph about music ;-) . What about a podcast with a philosophical rapper as a guest?

Great search terms are also hitting my blog now, but for the first time I am envious: ‘subversive poetry blogs’ is awesome! My nickname has evolved from ‘Subversive Element’ and I own the domain subversiv.at.
So I need to do something about attracting the searchers of anything subversive to my site ;-)

I’ll have to find a philosophical rapper to interview. Maybe we could convince him to rap some search terms too. What do you think?

I liked the ‘subversive poetry blog’ term too, but I couldn’t work it into a poem. It gets an honorable mention though. I also laughed out loud at ‘unsophisticated saskatchewan people.’ The Doctor Who reference was also pretty cool.

Maybe I’ll check the spam filter’s material for my next foray into this art form.

Did you ever try to find philosophers with very unsual jobs in the entertainment business? (Serious question)
My favorite example in physics related to this discussion (music, though not rap) is ‘The Physics Chanteuse’ – http://www.scientainment.com/pchant.html

      • danielmullin81 says:

No, I haven’t really looked into philosophers in the entertainment business. Perhaps I should.

From a quick look at her website, The Physics Chanteuse looks like a physics counterpart to the 21st Century Monads.

      • elkement says:

Thanks – googled the 21st Century Monads ;-) – I really do learn a lot in passing from my web 2.0 activities!
I did not research physicist entertainers thoroughly – there are some comedians, too (myth busters style). I guess philosophy would also prepare you even better for comedy?

The only philosophy comedian I can think of is a guy called Merle Kessler, aka Ian Schoales the 60 second philosopher on Philosophy Talk (http://philosophytalk.org). It’s a shame there aren’t more philosophical comedians because philosophy provides so much good material.

Here’s a science comedian you might enjoy: Brian Malow.

    • elkement says:

Thanks a lot! I am following Brian on Twitter already but I haven’t checked out his videos so far!
So in summary… you could add comedy and poetry to your portfolio of career opportunities!

      • danielmullin81 says:

I don’t know about career. Hobbies, maybe. Another philosophically-inclined comedian I thought of is Brian Keith Dalton aka Mr. Deity. He mostly pokes fun at organized religion, but some of his humorous criticisms are philosophically informed.
