After a two week hiatus, I’m back in the blogosphere. I have to say, it was a busy and productive two weeks. As many of you know, I attended the APPA philosophical counselor training course in NYC. It was a very rewarding experience and I plan to blog about it in more detail soon. In the meantime, I’m eager to implement what I’ve learned and you can help with that!
As many of you also know, I’m planning to launch a philosophical counseling practice in the near future. I’m currently working on a new website, which is all well and good, but I would like to get my feet wet doing some one-on-one counseling sessions. Since it’s still early in the launch phase, I’m hoping to recruit some volunteers to help me hone my craft. As readers of this blog, you probably already have an interest in philosophy. Perhaps you’ve also been following my posts or listening to the podcasts on philosophical counseling. If you’ve ever wanted to try philosophical counseling (and who hasn’t?), or just want to a pick a philosopher’s brain on some issue for an hour, here’s your opportunity. For the month of August, I’m offering my readers a free session via Skype. It’ll give you a chance to try out philosophical counseling and give me a chance to practice some of the skills I’ve been learning.
If you like the session, perhaps you could thank me by writing a brief testimonial. It’s up to you. If you like it well enough to want to continue at an ‘early bird’ discounted rate, we can discuss that too. If you’re interested, please get in touch through the comments or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org). I hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity! Thanks, and I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled blogging soon.
